Sitelet and administrative booking tool for Macy's Santaland, a holiday event where customers could meet Santa at the Macy's flagship store in New York City. Through the sitelet, customers booked reservations online and with the internal booking tool, store associates working at Santaland were able to manage reservations and accommodate walk-ins at the store.
- Roles UX
Designed a responsive sitelet and straightforward booking process so customers could easily make a reservation.
Layed out the entire user flow including the reservation page, confirmation page, email confirmation, email reminders, reservation cancellation page, and error states.
Internal Administrative Booking Tool
Designed strictly for tablet, as store associates and managers carried iPads to assist customers at Santaland.
The tool fulfilled various scheduling needs: employees could edit reservation capacity, search quickly for bookings, and check-in customers. Also included smart design features like color-coding time slots so associates could make quick decisions on line management.
Prior to the start of design, collaborated with development to make UX improvements from a basic prototype, and flushed out logistics of various user scenarios. From there, designed out all screens, overlays, and error messaging states.
